Key Takeaway

Akuity has launched a dedicated EU data residency region hosted on AWS, with primary infrastructure in Frankfurt and backup in Ireland. Customer data—including logs and telemetry—remains entirely within the EU, supporting GDPR and EU data sovereignty requirements. The EU region delivers the full Akuity Platform, including Deploy, Promote, and Intelligence.

At Akuity, we are committed to providing enterprise-ready delivery, continuous promotion, and AI-powered intelligence to software development teams and companies around the world. An important part of that commitment is helping teams meet their data residency and compliance requirements—especially for customers operating in the EU.

We’re excited to announce that the Akuity Platform, including Deploy, Promote, and Intelligence, is now available in a dedicated data residency region in the EU.

Why Akuity Built a Dedicated EU Region

With our growing client base in North America and Europe, it became imperative for us to meet the needs of our customers for strong data residency aligned with the EU privacy regulations.

With our newly launched EU Region, the Akuity Platform can now guarantee:

  • EU data residency needs: Many organizations—especially in regulated industries—choose (or are required by internal policy/sector rules) to keep certain customer data within the EU

  • Data Sovereignty: There’s a regulatory push in the EU for stronger data sovereignty, to ensure that the collection, storage, and processing of its citizens’ data takes place within EU jurisdictions.

European customers get the same enterprise platform capabilities, reliability, and operational standards that global Akuity customers rely on, now backed by EU-based infrastructure.

What Data Stays in the EU

Customer data processed in Akuity’s EU region remains within EU jurisdictions, including:

  • Application configuration data

  • Metadata

  • Logs and audit records

  • Telemetry and operational metrics

No customer data from the EU region is transferred to or processed in the United States.

Built for EU GDPR Compliance & Data Sovereignty

Our EU region is fully hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and designed to be self-sufficient. The primary region runs in Frankfurt (eu-central-1), with a secondary backup region in Ireland (eu-west-1).

What matters most is that customer data stays in the EU. This includes application data, metadata, logs, and telemetry data. A core feature of Akuity’s new EU region is that it’s operationally independent, without data flowing back to the United States.

This architecture supports common EU data residency requirements while still delivering the full Akuity experience.

Privacy, Security, and Compliance by Design

We understand how important privacy is to European organizations. Our systems are built to align with GDPR principles, and we treat privacy, security, and compliance as core engineering requirements, not add-ons.

This new data region is part of our broader commitment to protecting customer data and meeting the requirements of teams operating in regulated and security-conscious environments. Akuity is also ISO 27001 (an information security management standard) certified and maintains a SOC 2 Type II report.
